Roll-Off Dumpster Rental in Concord, NC
A roll-off is the open-top container that arrives on a hooklift truck and rolls off onto your driveway or job site. It is the workhorse of this industry, and choosing well is as much about reading the site as it is about the pile of material you intend to put in it.

How a roll-off delivery actually works
The truck reverses to the drop point, the bed tilts, and the container rolls down the rails onto the ground. That is the whole mechanism, and it explains why the approach matters: the truck needs a straight run in rather than a curve, and the ground has to carry the weight of the truck as well as the container.
Before the box touches down we lay hardwood cribbing under the rollers and front rails. Standard on every delivery, no charge.
At collection the process reverses, with the container winched back up the rails. If it is loaded above the rim the doors will not close and the load cannot legally be transported, which is why we ask people to load level rather than heaped.
Matching the container to the site, not just the job
Site constraints override material volume more often than customers expect. A 30 yard needs roughly seventy feet of straight approach; a 10 yard needs about forty-five. If your driveway curves, or the only flat spot is behind a turn, the smaller container may be the only workable answer regardless of how much material you have.
Overhead clearance is the constraint people forget. The truck bed rises well above roof height when it tips, so roughly twenty-three feet of clear air is needed. Through the older Concord and Kannapolis streets, and on wooded rural drives out toward Midland and Mount Pleasant, mature tree cover stops more deliveries than narrow entrances do.
Send a photo from the road looking at your intended spot with the sky in frame when you call. Thirty seconds of looking at that prevents a wasted delivery.
Where the loads go once they leave
Worth understanding because it is specific to this county. The Cabarrus County C&D landfill does not accept construction debris delivered in roll-off trucks, so a rental company here cannot simply tip your container at the county gate.
That does not affect you directly - the routing is our job - but it is why a professional operator who knows Concord is worth more than a cut-price outfit that has not thought about where the material actually ends up.
For clean separated loads the routing is more economical than for mixed ones, which is why we will always encourage you to keep yard waste and clean masonry separate from general demolition debris.
Rental periods and running over
Seven days comes with the flat rate. Beyond that it is a daily rate, agreed at the start rather than discovered at the end.
Longer arrangements are entirely normal. Estate clearances and rural property work routinely run three to five weeks and we set those up on a daily rate from day one.
If you finish early, call and we will come. There is no penalty for being ahead of schedule.

(704) 743-4429Roll-Off Dumpster Rental: common questions
What does roll-off actually mean?
It describes how the container is delivered: it rolls off the back of a tilting hooklift truck onto the ground rather than being lifted over the side. It is why the approach needs to be straight and reasonably level.
What sizes do you carry?
10, 15, 20, 30 and 40 yard. The 20 is the most requested and the 15 is the one we most often recommend instead, because so much of the older housing here produces dense debris.
Does the county really not take roll-off loads?
Correct - the Cabarrus County C&D landfill does not accept construction debris delivered in roll-off trucks, nor whole-building teardowns. Routing those loads properly is our job, built into the flat rate, so it does not affect you directly.
How much notice do you need?
Two to three business days for a guaranteed slot. Same-day is often possible if a run is already heading your way, so it is always worth asking.
